Compensation for delayed flights Discussion Area

Hello everyone,
I am enquring if anyone knows if you can claim flight delay compensation for an infant under the age of 2? We were delayed almost 6 hours and got vouchers for food and drink at the airport, including one for my baby. This seems that see babies as passengers as they gave us a voucher for her, but has anyone claimed compensation for an infant? I am unsure if they (Thomas Cook) will try to get out of paying compensation for an infant.
Any thoughts welcome
How about searching "infant" in the forum search box and seeing what comes up? This issue has been addressed lots of times, including recently. You can't expect to be spoon-fed - like an infant!0 -
My Aeroflot flight was delayed by 127 minutes from Petropavlosk to Moscow, which caused me to miss my other flight back to London. I had to buy another ticket because it was not a connecting Aeroflot flight. Can I claim for this? I am confused about EU as some places class Moscow as part of the EU but as my flight is within Russia I have no clue. I'm out of pocket because of Aeroflot. What should I do as I am new to this? Thanks for your help.0

Whether in EU or not, as the delay was less than 3 hours there is no compensation,
This is the risk you take when traveling on separate tickets (I am assuming it was not a through-ticket as you would not have had to purchase a new flight it is was)
Have you tried your travel insurance?0 -
Is Aeroflot an EU based airline?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

I had a package holiday booked with Thomsons for myself and grown up son to borovets in Bulgaria in January 2010. We packed for the return flight and checked out. a rep came and told us that our flight would be delayed as our flight had been re-routed to ferry customers from out of Tunisia as there had been an escalation of problems there and they needed to return passengers to the uk. We were finally picked up from our hotel some 10 hours later to get our return flight after having spent the day wondering around shops and having cups of tea in cafe's and bars until the coach came to pick us up. The rep did give us a small amount of money to cover lunch etc. we did not claim at the time as I felt sorry for the people stuck in tunisia and never gave it a second thought to be honest. I now have no documentation for this holiday but surely they would have details of this at Thomsons. Do you think I. Would be able to claim anything now?0

In June 2010, our honeymoon flight from Gatwick to Kenya due to technical issues. We were supposed to fly at about 8pm but ended up flying at around 8am the following day. Thomson did give us food vouchers and put us in accommodation for the night but it still meant we missed a day of our holiday. I claimed from our insurance afterwards and got about £25 each back which was a bit disappointing.
I was wondering if I can I claim again now the rules have changed to hopefully get more and do I claim through the insurance or the airline?
Thanks in advance for any help!0 -

You claim from the airline. Have a read of the FAQs on page one, as well as some recent posts for a sense of the obstacles you'll face.0 -

If the airplane scheduled to provide your flight was diverted elsewhere for operational reasons, then you would have a claim. Read the FAQs on page one and some of the recent posts to get a sense of the obstacles you might face.0 -
Fingers crossed someone can advise!
We flew with Martinair from Amsterdam to Orlando 3 years ago, plane was delayed by about 7 hours (tech fault). Since then I think Martinair are a cargo airline only? Would I still be able to claim and if so where would I find contact info for them?
Or do I claim through KLM?
Many thanks.
Sorry to be a pain but just bumping this.
