I've had my first rejection letter from Jet2, for a flight that was delayed over 5 hours from CDG to MAN. They're blaming the delay on mechanical problems and say that therefore they won't pay out. Do I leave it or pursue the claim?0

Hi, I took my partner and her daughter to Jamaica in march 2008. we landed on the 6th and the departure time was to be the 14th at 12:00pm. on booking out we where told to return to our room as the flight was delayed until approx midnight. The holiday was booked via Thomsonfly as a package. The only thing I can find is my baggage ticked thats was on the old suitcase with my name on. I have no bank statements ect to prove the purchase of the holiday.. All tickets were booked as myself as the lead ticket holder. The reason for delay was engine problems and they where having to send another aircraft out to us. Is ther any advice for making a claim, I do not seem to be able to track the flight back that far. Thanks0

hi , don't know if i will be eligable for this or not ?
last year we were due to fly to spain fron bournemouth on the 6th of april only to find that once we arrived at the airport our flight had been cancelled !!! apparantley french airtraffic were striking for 2 days . ryanair ...( yes i know ) offered us alternative flights , 2 days later from stansted which meant 2 days lost , extra expensive and inconvenience . strangley enough though other airlines still seemed to be flying , i know for a fact that flybe did'nt cancel any of their flight and there was minimal distruption with easyjet ??? will i qualify0 -
In 2009 I was delayed for 4 1/2hrs on a flight from Glasgow to Lanzarote.
I have details of the flight number and can prove it was delayed.
I was verbally told the reason for the delay was a technical fault with the P.A. system - but I have no boarding cards, flight tickets or credit card statements to prove I was on the flight.
Can anyone advise if I can still make a claim?
