Details of Thomson plans regarding the Dreamliner are in the press reports
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=59768071&postcount=17Passengers will now travel on Thomson's 767 aircraft, and they will receive a refund on the supplement they paid for a 787 Dreamliner flight.
They will also be able to change their holiday plans without having to pay a supplement.0 -
Hi i have had a claim rejected on the basis of extraordinary circumstances due to an engine stall which led the aircraft to have a unplanned engine change. Should i persue this further or do you think this is a no go claim.
Thanks in advanceA fool and their money are easily parted.0 -
I would, why not, mechanical failure is not an exceptional cause accord to the ruling in the court. The airline will try it and hope you know no better, in fact even if they know you know they will still use it. They are not paying out without compulsion so court action it is.0

Reading these posts but not seeing any reference to anyone that actually got their compensation paid or indeed how long it took from the time the letter was sent. I have a similar tale of woe and sent my letter (using the MSE template) on the 12th of January. It's now the 11th of March. Surely I should have heard something by now? Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I resend my letter?
Thanks
There's only a handful of airlines currently paying out on letters alone. For the rest, suing them is the only language they understand. And yes, passengers, including me, do get their full compensation when they sue for it.
Thank you Ryanair0 -
I'm up for suing Wizz Air, but what's the best way to go about this? How much is this likely to cost?0
-
Not that much and if you win any compensation includes your costs. The cost depends on how much you are claiming, it works on a pro-rata basis starting at about £30 I think.0

Well as there were 5 of us in the booking that were delayed then we can happily swallow that cost between us. As it was the flight back from Slovenia that was delayed then I have to go through the county court route, right? Anyone have any advice before I go down this route?0

I'll be claiming 1250 Euros0
