Anybody know how much can be claimed for a 25 hour delay to Goa, which is over 3.5k kilometres. We were out up in a hotel and provided with food etc. but that I not the point, we have missed over a day of our holiday which you can't get back

Depends on what caused the delay.

The answer is in the MSE article and in this thread. Read the last couple of pages.

    Hi there

Flying with Thomas cook original date 18/11/12 flight time 9.15 flight is delayed due to engineer issues or technical problems by 29 hours.

Do I qualify for the compensation of£480 per person?

What is the best way to proceed ie speak with Thomas cook customer relations and pursue?

    Many thanks

I have read the last 5 pages but its confusing I know I need to apply to Thomas cook but what is the best process and how to do it? Ie do I pay Thomas cook the 50 excess to cover the claim or do I pay that else where.

Thomas cook as you can appreciate are not forth coming with information

Sorry to sound such a novice but I'm just trying to get back some of the cash as I hae lost 2 days of my holiday
    Many thanks

Thanks for the response I spend this Mornig looking at the info.

Just seeking clear advice as the forum is hard to follow and I didn't see a lot of Thomas cook flight issues more klm and monarch issues.

Apologies ill read when I return from holiday I just wanted some clear and hard advise to reassure me before I went.

8 posts above your original one was the answer (Click the blue word)

There are two links in there which take you to the answers

There's also a link to the FAQ's which makes the forum easier to follow

Maybe you need some (new) reading glasses?

Sorry mate half cut no sleep for 36 hours will make you eyes go pete ting cheers for all your help blind man I appreciate it
  • Our flight last year was delayed by 7 hours due to an unforeseen technical fault (Thomas Cook never gave a full explanation of what that was.) If they say that it was extraordinary circumstances which I think they will, how can I prove otherwise when taking them to court, which I intend to do.

    Thanks!!

    If they say it was
    unforeseen technical fault
then they can't hide behind the
    extraordinary circumstances
    clause.
It does say this in the FAQ's
