After sending a letter of complaint to Monarch regarding a four hour delay in May this year for a party of 11 family members, they have replied today and sent me 11 claim forms !! the only snag is they are asking for me to include our boarding cards.. I no longer have these! Will they wriggle out of it because of this? Help!!0

Hi,
I have made a claim to easyjet for a flight which was delayed for 5 hours due to a technical fault with the plane. Does anyone know if compensation is due where the delay is due to a fault with the plane? Easyjet say that it is something which was out of their control.0 -

Nope-we're all clueless.
What do you think?

Could you tell me is there any way to submit a compensation claim if the travel company has ceased trading. I flew to Malta from Manchester in Sept 2005 which resulted in over 11 hours delay!

Has anyone had a response from BA since the new ruling? I'm about to resubmit a claim for a 24 hour delay in Dec 2010 which was rejected at the time and would be interested to know their current stance.
Our delay met all the criteria for compensation and BA told us in writing it was due to "operational reasons" which we undertood from their staff to be a technical fault followed by non-availability of crew as they had exceeded their hours
Does anyone have any evidence of BA's current stance?
So far, no. I had an old case number back from 2010 before the whole matter was brought back to the ECJ. The day after the ruling I reopened the case by resubmitting my claim online on basis of the new ruling. So far I haven't heard a word yet. I'll give them another week before I send the LBA.0 -
Hello
Saw this in your newsletter but not sure if i can claim as had a bit of a nightmare.
Was due to fly to Tenerife from Humberside at 10am, when we arrived at check in we got told our flight was cancelled (airline went into administration) I did check our flight was still going ahead the night before and it was. However we were being re-directed to Manchester (by coach) and flying from there. Their was no delay at Manchester however as we had to travel on coach and then wait for the flight to Tenerife we had been delayed over 6 hours. however the flight that left Manchester was on time.
that was the flight to Tenerife now for the return
We was picked up from the hotel but the coach, when we arrived at the airport the "rep" advised their was no delays with our flight (setting off at around 10am) Once we got past check in we noticed their was a delay of just over an hour. Once we got past security the flight was delayed for over 4 hours! (thats not the end of it) whilst we were waiting around their was an announcement to go to the help desk. When we got their we got told that our flight was cancelled (thats 2 out of 2) and we were going to be getting on a plane which was going to Newcastle around 3pm (again this plane was not delayed) when we got to Newcastle we then had to get a coach back to Humberside.
In the end we had been to 4 different airports during our holiday! add to this it was the first time my girlfriend had ever flown and the first holiday without parents.
so we were suppose to leave Humberside at 10am arrive in tenerife around 2pm, ended up flying at 4pm from a different airport and didnt arrive in Tenerife till 8pm. so we lost half a day of our holiday
on the way back were suppose to fly around 10am to be back at humberside for 2pm, ended up flying to Newcastle around 3pm, arriving at 7pm and then a 2.30-3 hour coach trip back to Humberside for 10pm. lost about 8 hours of time.
do you think i have potential to claim?0 -
Am I able to claim compensation as the company EUjet went bust while we were in Spain 2005 and left us with no return flight, even though we had paid for 4 return flights? We had to buy four single flights back to the UK with another airline. We bought the original return tickets on a debit card, unfortunately, as if it had been a credit card we would have got our money back! Sadly, after a long wait once the business had gone into receivership we got about forty pounds back!! Does that mean we cannot claim again for compensation?
Many thanks0 -
Hi, i have found 3 flight delays which caused me to miss my connecting flight (on same ticket) and i had to stay the night in a hotel provided by the airline.
Question- Can i make a claim for each delay? and if so should my compensation figure for which im asking for be for all 3 flights or just 1 claim.
The airline is the same 'Swiss Air' and this happened 3 times in 3 months to me as i was travelling frequently0 -

I did the same as you using the old case reference number and didn't get any response at all. I suspect the old number is regarded as "dead" and therefore my webform was automatically rejected..
I've now resubmitted again without a case number in the box provided but with a reference to it in the text of my claim and I've just received an acknowledgement - so there is hope!0 -
