Ah yes, sorry my bad, got carried away.
You are legally entitled to that taxi fare. Swiss were not in a position to bargain with you, breaking the regulations. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Hello looking for some advice please. Apologies in advance for the length of this post, but it is complicated !!
In December we flew from Birmingham via Amsterdam and Singapore to Melbourne. This was all on one ticket with the first leg operated by KLM, but others by Singapore.
The first flight (KLM from BHX to AMS) was delayed by bad weather and air traffic control restriction and as a consequnece we missed the connecting flight.
Ground staff from KLM tried to get us booked on alternative flights, however there was a glitch on thier computer system which meant that the alternative bookings were made, but then cancelled by their systems. This happended on 5 different occasions. Eventually we were issued with a paper tickets, booked on alternative airlines and arrived 12 hours late.
I have been in touch with KLM and have had a claim refused as the reason for the delay was outside their control. I accept that the weather was not thier fault, but the bulk of the delay was caused by a problem with the computer which is their fault.
KLM have also said that part of the problem was that Singapore would not 'release' the tickets to them.
KLM has refused my claim, But did offer a 100eur flight voucher which I refused. During out 11 hour spell at AMS we were given a 15eur food voucher each.
My view is that KLM have this wrong. My case may be unusual as there were two delays. The first was not thier fault, but the second cetainly was.
I have submitted a data request to KLM who have provided something called a PNR file, which does show the number of bookings that were cancelled.
T've tried to provide all relevant information, if I've missed anything let me know.
I'd appreciate any advice or insight that anyone has on this. KLM have pointed me to a ADR service so I want to 'get my ducks in a row' before contacting them.

Firstly put your flight details into eucliam and bottonline and see what they say.0

Thanks. I have tried this.
These suggest that there is no compensation as the delay was outside the airlines control. I accept this is correct for the first flight.
However, the bulk of the delay was a computer glitch which was linked to my booking and not a 'whole plane' delay. I doubt these checkers are sophisiticated enough to deal with this type of query.0 -
How late were you getting into Amsterdam?0

About 90 mins -0

I think you are in dodgy ground if euclaim and bottonline say no compensation that's pretty much it. The beginning of your trip was extraordinary circumstances that lets them off paying compensation. You could always try and argue that them cocking up at Amsterdam caused you to be 10 hours late, but if you could have got the first flight they had planned for you before the !!!! up what time would that have got to into Singapore then into Melbourne. You could always called Bott& Co and see what they say after you explain what happened in Amsterdam0

Hello experts,
I was wondering if you could advise me on the following:
I booked 2 flights under 2 seperate reservations for 2nd Sept. 2019
Flight 1 from Malaga to Barcelona dep 14:30, arr 16:00 with Vueling
Flight 2 from Barcelona to Brussels dep. 18:00, arr 20:00 with Ryanair.
Unable to check in online I went to the desk and was informed I had been bumped off due to overbooking.
The alternative later flight to Barcelona would have left me stranded there and I needed.to be in Brussels by the evening of 2nd. I explained the situation to Customer Services at the airport but they were unhelpful.
Did a search on Skyscanner and decided to buy the only direct flight it showed from Malaga to Brussels at a cost of €285. I know I am entitled to €250 compensation and a refund for the unused ticket but I later found out that there was a direct flight from Malaga to Brussels operated by Vueling at 17:40 with 6 unoccupied seats and I was not offered or made aware of this.
My question is, are there any grounds for additional compensation beyond the €250 and the flight refund given that I missed a connection, had to buy a brand new ticket and was not offered the possibility of flying to my final destination with the airline at fault?
Thank you0
