Compensation for delayed flights Discussion Area

I am not aware unfortunately if Norwegian are flying the route daily or not.
It is made more difficult to check this considering they are discontinuing the route as of the end of February 2019 I believe.
I have rescheduled my hotel, however the rescheduling has came at a cost, although quite a but less cost than it would be to cancel Norwegian and fly via a comparative route.
I would hope than I can accept the changed flight and maybe claim for the change in hotel cost? Or would that be highly unlikely to happen?0 -
Probably not. Does your travel insurance cover any re-booking costs? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Hi, did you manage to find a free website for historical flight arrivals and departures?0

Should the airline compensate me for the lost earnings as well? Is it worth raising such a claim?
Really appreciate any suggestions and advise!
you asked this before

if self employed, maybe look for policies that include loss of earnings for the future.0 -
I've booked a flight bangkok through TravelUp. They issued an e ticket for 3 flights. all today. First Eurowings to Dussledorf, 2nd Lufthansa to Frankfurt, third Lufthansa to Bangkok. The Dussledorf flight was cancelled this morning, I've no chance of getting my other flight. travelup says I have to contact Eurowings, who'll try and arrange something else. Ultimately who can I claim compensation of. Hotels booked as well.0

Its a grey area. With recent rulings, Eurowings are probably only responsible for the first flight delay and have no obligation for your remaining journey legs.
Unless all 3 tickets were booked directly through the eurowings website.
Even though eurowings is part of the Lufthansa group, the regualtion is not clear on this aspect with reagrds to compensation.
Its one of the problems of booking through and agent (which is rarely cheaper) rather than booking direct through the airline. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I think you will be out of luck for EU261. MRU being outside the EU and travelling on a non-EU airline.
Air France are not responsible to compensate you as you failed to present on time (due to the earlier delay)
Does your travel insurance pay anything for 5 hour delay?
Had you been on the AF flight from MRU-CDG you 'may' have been entitled to compensation depending on the reason for the delay.
were you unable to checkin online or on their ap?
Even though I booked everything through Air France and had no choice as to using Air Mauritius as the carrier?!
The reason for delay was technical issues with the aircraft.
I was unable to check in online for the CDG-MAN flight, which according to Air Mauritius is due to them not have a relationship with Flybe (although it was an AF flight?!)
I'll check my travel insurance.
Thanks so much for your help.

It's not who you booked from that matters, it's who operates your flight. In this case it was a non-EU carrier departing from a non-EU country which isn't covered by EU261.0
