Any help gratefully received.
Thank you

Hi Cath,
I believe that under these circumstances it is just one claim, as it is the the time of arrival at your final destination that counts.

My family and I were delayed in Palma airport for nearly 6 hours in early May. I have filed a claim with the airline (ASL) received a response email saying they would look into it and nothing since? It's been six weeks now. I've had no response to my enquiries via email. Can anyone advise me on my next steps? There is a French telephone number contact on the email initially sent out. Is it worth me calling them?
Thanks in advance!0 -

Hi Linside82,
It might speed things up if you phone them directly, especially if you are a French speaker.
Otherwise send them a letter before action (see Vaubans guide via Google) which should put things on a more formal footing.

I recently had a Glasgow to Bristol flight that had a 4 hour 4 minute delay. When I arrived at the airport there was no real news on the departure time. I was checked in - but decided to abandon the flight and drive. I knew the flight would be arriving after Bristol would be in night hours, the car rental village would be closed and I would struggle for a taxi to get to my hotel.
I followed the easyJet claim route and initially received an email to say I was due £219.63 and the money would be transferred within 7-10 days. Nothing happened. I eventually called after 20 days only to be told I was not entitled and the email was sent in error.
I complained again and this morning received another email saying I was not entitled because I did not board the flight. So - my question is... am I due any compensation even although I did not fly?0 -
Probably not, I believe you have to be delayed at least 5 hours to claim both a refund and compensation (and there is some disagreement on this forum as to whether that still entitles you to compensation).
How long was the flight actually delayed (actual arrival time/scheduled arrival time)? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

You may not even be due a refund, let alone compensation.0

You chose to walk away from the flight. Easyjet owe you neither a refund or compensation as far as I can see.0

Hi, I have submitted the online template letter to ASL France detailing our flight cancellation of which they are fully aware (they even left a nice message pinned to the arrivals wall when we eventually landed 39.5hrs later!) to remind us all of the exact time of delay after our flight was cancelled. The claim site wasn't very helpful as it only allowed you a max of 200 words which as you can imagine if you're trying to explain all issues over this length of delay was quite a number and didn't easily fit within their restriction. That said I made it very concise. I attached numerous docs to support my claim too so they have everything in one place. However I posted this (online) last Thursday and have yet to receive any notification that they have received my claim notice. I had recorded delivered a claim to Olympic Holidays and received a letter from them 3 days letter saying they'd received my claim and were making enquiries. My question is this: how long do I wait for a response from ASL and IF I don't receive one what is my next step. All constructive advice greatly received.0

My BA flight out of LHR to DUB was delayed which resulted in missing my United flight out of DUB to IAD. I had to take two more flights and eventually arrived BWI at 22.31hrs instead of IAD at 15.25hrs. I had to pay for late night transportation to take me from BWI to DC. $130 (£100)
Original route: Booked with AER but operated by BA and UA.
BA had delays so route taken BA-AER-JB (the next UA flight was the next day and I didn't have my belonging with me as we couldn't find my luggage)
I arrived 7hours later than scheduled and at a different airport. I spent another hour looking for my luggage. I flew 3 planes to get there instead of 2. I fell ill while waiting for my 3rd flight out of stress mostly.
My luggage didn't arrive for another 4days. It was slightly damaged and the last carrier JetBlue were kind and refunded toiletries and clothing expenditure I had to make in the meantime.
Do I complain to BA who operated the flight or to AER who I booked with?
Do I claim compensation and a refund?
Shall I use Resolver? If not how do I do so myself?
Thank you.0
