He's blooming hopeless - but I'm not much better. Actually I quite liked them chewy - but will go for the crispier ones next time for comparison. I baked my first lot with brown sugar and they were very yummy.
Going to make some more tomorrow, ready for the weekend, Dad is coming over and you've guessed it his fav biccie are hobnobs!

Hiya Twink.
Just to say that I have made three batches of the famous hobnobs this week and they have gone down a storm! Thanks from everyone here- truly delicious!
Only one small query...I tried to add my thanks on the first entry on the thread and the thanks button has disappeared?
Anyway when it returns I `ll be adding my thanks to the hordes who have already done so!
Well done for inspiring us all to make biscuits again- they have been so popular and yummy!

Hi janb5,
About the disappearing Thanks button, I just looked at the list of people who've thanked Twink's post and it looks like you already thanked it... in September 2007
So that'll be why you can't see the Thanks button on that postOperation Get in Shape

Actually I agree with another poster way back in the thread that Twink`s hobnobs should be a sticky because they are as famous as vinegar, Stardrops and all the other success stories.
Why dont we nominate it to be promoted for star status! Yay!
Go T:j wink- a legend in her lifetime!0 -
so will we be able to recognise each other now if there are a plate of hobnobs for afternoon tea or will we get a hobnob badge made
thanks for all your kind words0 -

ooh i have never looked for fame
as for meat pies, i used to cheat and buy scotch pie shells from the local baker and fill them with macaroni cheese or mince with mash on the top
i do scotch pancakes, stovies, soups etc all the basic things and used to bake a lot more before the kenwood chef died of old age, dh used to make bread and rolls in it with the dough hook0
