Made some today with DD2 - all gone within 30 minutes (what a suprise) thanks to DD1 and her best friend who was here for tea.;) OH didn't even realise we'd baked..... !
HOWEVER.....
Got more dough in fridge and will bake tomorrow - how else can I get through a Monday a work ! :j
Hmmm ...... DD2 and friend suggested bake smaller ones and sandwich two together with Nutella........ might try that. Then try the next batch of dough as the cinnamon version (thanks - just what I need, more variations of Twink's hob nobs !). :T
Isn't it great to plan your future ? Makes me feel all warm inside (must be that last biscuit).0 -
Hmm. Tempting. Recipe printed.
Of course, the Swedish for hobnob is høbnøb.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
Hi - my name is Sunnyday and i`m a hobnob addict
I am guilty of making plain ones, cinnamon ones and ginger ones.
They freeze well after cooking and only take 20 or 30 mins to thaw and even then i couldn`t wait and have been known to eat them straight out of the freezer
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
ooh you are all mad
no willpower at all
Fitzio, if they crumbled i can only think the butter was too hot when you added it to the mix, it needs to just be warm, cut the butter up and melt slow, i use the micro
ifonly you shouldnt have to use a knife to prise them apart, you must be making them too big or too close together0 -
i make them too big, but thats fine, means i can slice them into smaller portions, try and fool myself they'll last longer
welcome to the group sunnyday,Nonny mouse and Proud!!
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience!!
