havent done that but have thought of it, suppose if you made it the same thickness as the biscuits the time would be the same but if thicker maybe a bit longer, trial and error i think, suppose you could add some sunflower seeds etc, wasnt to keen on the dried apricot in them but sultanas might work and cherries, let us know how you get on0 -
I made some more the other day. Dried cranberry. And chocholate chunks ( a bar of Lidl chocolate cut up into bits)
I took some into work.
Snow off a dyke
Next time I am gonna try white chocolate. And maybe a coconut one
Thanks Twink:T0 -

Ohhh ... I didnt realise twink.
But in fairness of research I really need to try them now
I am sure they will be fab... they have such a great basic recipe behind them.

The first time I made the hobnobs, they turned out very moist underneath and quite soft and chewy.
I suspected too much marge to grease the baking tray and possibly too high a temperature.
This time I did less greasing of the baking tray, used slightly less golden syrup, reduced the oven temperature and made them a bit smaller (they had turned out the same size as supermarket store-baked cookies the first time!).
Much better this time around. Not that there was anyting really wrong with them the first time - they still got demolished before I got my fair share of them!!!0 -
Ollie if they were moist underneath maybe needed a little longer cooking and it is difficult to be exact with the syrup, if i am feeling mean i get 55-60 out of my mix but usually just over 40 biscuits0
-
Well that would mean Twink usually gets 60 out of every batch.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0
