    They are so filling too

I am cooking our dinner at the moment and everyone is complaining of being full they only had two/three each.....

I don't think I like ginger, but I have been reading through and will try some of the ideas...it is my MILs birthday soon so i will make some for her, nice and chocolatey ones.

I will have a go at rolling them out next time too they look so neat that way and there will be no arguing from the boys about who got a bigger one. hehe

I also got round to making these today.
    Very luuuurvley twink :T
Although, I think I put in 1 tsp of the bicarb instead of half tsp:o .
    Still good though

For half the batch I put some dried cranberrys in, and left the other half plain. Very tasty. :D
  • Anyone for another biscuit recipe :confused:Aussie sent me the details of her Anzac biscuits - they have coconut in them, and with more butter and less syrup than Twink's hobnobs, they have a more crunchy texture.

    The recipe is here.

I wouldn't like to say which are better, they're both delicious in their own special way :D

Anzacs have that lovely brown colour and not that insipid scottish white colour :D that Twinks have.

They are excellent for dunking as well. :p They look lovely Pen Pen. Good job for a non-aussie. There you go, wasn't I nice and polite. :D

Hi Twink, I too have made the hobnobs, sunday and yesterday.

A success and a half. First batch went in the evening (sunday) with lots of 'mmmmm thanks Mum they're delicious'.

Managed to count the batch I made last night, 56, so I'm pleased.

I also bought another 2 baking trays in honour of the hobnobs as I only had one flat one.

Got them reduced from Mr T last night, originally £2.99 down to 74p for a baking tray and crisper tray (the one with holes in for crispier oven chips) set. So I bought 2.:D

So all in all bit of old style, bit of moneysaving and a bit of good parenting.

Aussielass, I will also make your Anzac's as I have some coconut and let you know how these go down in the Triker household.:D

I am going to try and have a baking evening tonight. Aswell as some Minature Heroes Brownies and some rolls for lunches I shall try your recipe Twink, as I love hobnobs. Has anyone tried melting chocolate on top a la McVities chocolate covered Hobnobs?
