  • Hi,

I've seen some ladies mention that they are going to make 'Hob Nob's' - what's the recipe?

I'm trying to be OS and love Hob Nobs.

I've had a look on the Recipe Collection but I couldn't see it.

    TIA

I don't know where the original post is but was copied and pasted onto the GC thread

    Home Made HobNobs

    8oz SR flour
    8oz Sugar
    8oz porridge oats
    8oz marg
    1tbsp Golden Syrup
    1/2 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
    1tbs hot water

Mix flour, oats + sugar together.
Melt marg, syrup + water in pan then stir in bic of soda
    Pour into dry mix
Make small balls of mixture on a baking tray and flatten with fork or fingers
Cook for about 15mins until golden (not brown) in mod oven 180 degrees.

    ENJOY!!!

    Hi MadDogWoman,

I've added your thread to the original thread so you can see the variations. I made them with soft marg the first time I made them and they weren't as crisp as they could have been so following other posts on the thread I've since made them with butter and they've been great.

    Thank you twink :T

  • I use caster, trust mum to use granulated:rotfl: i am twinks lovely daughter for those that are wondering:p

i keep meaning to make hobnobs but i can never resist eating some, do wonders for my diet:rolleyes:

I use butter in mine and heat the marg in the micro as first time i did them in the pan and mix was all crumbly, twink showed me how to do it properly and now make perfect hobnobs, even better than twink's herself;)
