    Hi Pollyanna,

    It was twink who posted the original hobnob recipe. I've merged your post into the thread so you can have a read through.

  • These hobnobs are amazing. After ages of procrastinating I made them last weekend and drizzled chocolate on them. My head spun as they disappeared off the plate.

    My children THANK YOU Twink! ;)

    I made some more again yesterday too, having not made them since just after the recipe was first posted. They were fab. I got about 6 dozen out of the mix (half plain, half with cranberries for a Christmas theme). I gave a dozen away to a friend, and have frozen half the remainder to have for Christmas as I recall someone earlier in the thread saying they froze well. Do I just need to take them out and let them thaw when we are ready for them, or will they need another quick blast in the oven, does anyone know? I've never frozen baked biscuits before.

    Goodness! 6 dozen?! :eek: I made 28-30 out of it and thought I had done well. Have to admit mine were rather on the large size. We have piggyish tendencies in my family. :o

  • Sorry if anyone has answered this already, just am interested - has anyone done the "roll it up in greaseproof paper/cling film combo and leave it in the 'fridge then slice as needed" trick?

    If so, does it work, if not - shall I have a go {only just found this thread.... drool .... :D }
    If you see me on here - shout at me to get off and go and get something useful done!! :D

    I used dried. A small bag for half the mixture (so presumably two small bags if you want them all to be cranberry ones!)
