Just put these in the oven.
However the mix was very sticky, so sticky that even with floured hands I couldn't make the balls.
It''s had to go on a tray as flapjack.
Do you think its cos I used soft brown sugar? recipe didn't say what type to use so I thought any would do.

If you mean the Anzacs just add some more flour if they are a bit sticky in future.
They might be softish as a flapjack (if mixture was a bit wet) but still taste nice.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
made tonight to take into work tomorrow as a treat for the office.
Had to try one - yum yum0 -
Fab biscuits and really quick to make.
Have made two batches of these. The original and then i put some ginger powder in the second batch. Made Lovely ginger biscuits. DP says i need to stop as he will get fat, as he's demolished most of them.
Many thanks for sharing.

Your biccys look scrummy!
I make anzacs a lot here, too, as kids and I adore them. For a change, i sometimes add a tablespoon to two of cocoa powder...which makes lovely CHOCOLATE anzacs.

The recipe is here.
I wouldn't like to say which are better, they're both delicious in their own special way

I've just done my very first batch of Twink's Hob Nobs - can't think why I've not got around to it earlier
!. Had to have a 'sample' and they are absolutely delicious and that recipe is so simple to do - hardest part is definitely not to eat the mixture as you go along
.
Somebody posted that the recipe made about 36 so, because there is only OH and myself (well most of the time), decided to halve the quantities. Actually got 2 trays of 12 hobnobs out of half the recipe - maybe have been a good idea to make them a little smaller as I'm supposed to be trying to lose some weight  .
Is it best to let them cool on the baking tray before trying to remove them? I struggled with a silicon spatula to try to life the first trayful - they got a bit misshapen as a result - but what the heck - they get chewed before they get swallowed anyhow. I've got the second trayful cooling now before lifting onto the rack.
Once again Twink - thanks very much :T

Same here twink, me and dd2 made them at the weekend and they were great. I got them out while they were still warm otherwise they would have welded themselves onto the baking sheet.Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

Olliebeak glad you liked the hobnobs, i made some today and got 61 from the mix, they were little though
i dont really let mine cool on the tray but i find if they are taken out a wee bit too soon from the oven they dont come off the tray as well, maybe the hobnobs need a min or so extra, i use a metal fish slice to take mine off the tray0
