I've got butter on my shopping order for next week so I'm going to make some more then. Though DH happily munches them even when they're a bit soft!0

sharon, i have never used oatmeal in the recipe but use asdas smartprice porridge oats, will look up a website for you for the oatmeal
polly, glad your dh likes the biscuits, if they are a bit soft you might be making them a bit big, you should get about 46, or they might need a few minutes more cooking0 -
The second lot I made, I made them smaller and cooked them for longer. They are still a bit soft but not quite so......maybe butter next week will be the missing factor! They have a lovely flavour anyway.0

Just made our frst batch (me and my Junior masterchef in the making, aged nearly 5) - they look scrummy. Desperately waiting for them to cool and sample.
Thank you for making a small boy so happy - he wants to make more already!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
moam, somebody mixed smarties into theirs, no idea if it worked, just dont tell your wee boy though0

I made the hobnobs today for the first time and I have to say they looked exactly like hobnobs and tasted like them too - I put too many on the baking sheet with the first few and they ran together so then I spaced them out more and they were great! Only thing is I have eaten them all day and couldn't eat my tea a few minutes ago - my stomach is sooooooo full!Jane
