Very similar to twink's hobnobs - a little darker maybe due to the brown sugar - and very, very delicious!!! :D

Thanks to both of you for turning me into a Domestic Goddess :T :D :rotfl:

You cooked a great batch Chameleon. :T So big. They look  better than what mine look like  and I've been cooking them for years.

Awaits Thriftlady's picture of Anzac perfection. :D

They're not actually as big as they look in that photo, they're sitting on a small tea plate, not a dinner plate :p;)

I got 40 biscuits from the mix, the same as I got from twink's hobnobs, so now trying to weigh up which ones are actually healthier ;)

How much fat does coconut contain? Is it less than butter as the Anzacs only have half the butter content than the hobnobs lol :D

I'm sure coconut has less fat than butter. It's lighter anyway. ;)

I thought it was a dinner plate. :D

Well after hundreds of PM's begging me to post the recipe of Anzac's here it is. :D

Anzac Biscuits
• 1 cup plain flour
• 1 cup rolled oats (regular oatmeal) uncooked
• 1 cup desiccated coconut
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 tbsp golden syrup (or honey)
• 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
• 2 tbsp boiling water
Method
• Combine the flour, oats, coconut and sugar in a bowl.
• Melt the butter and Golden Syrup (or honey) in a saucepan over a low heat..
• Mix the bicarbonate of soda with the water and add to the butter and Golden Syrup.
• Pour the liquids into the dry ingredients and mix well.
• Spoon dollops of mixture, about the size of a walnut shell, onto a greased tin leaving as much space again between dollops to allow for spreading.
• Bake in a moderate oven, 180C / 350F, for 15-20 minutes.
• Cool on a wire rack and seal in airtight containers.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Just went to copy this recipe down for future use, and noticed this technical term! I love it, my mum used to measure things in *dollops*!!! Happy days:D

Edited to say I'm getting about 55 biscuits out of the mix. Just slightly smaller (doesn't really notice) and it adds up to a few more. So if I eat by number, rather than weight, I'll be getting fewer calories! Of course I'm referring to twinks recipe, not this one as i haven't made these yet!
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
• I tried Twinks Hob Nobs earlier and I don't know if it's a bloke thing  but I had run out of Golden Syrup so I used Maple Syrup instead (Two tablespoons) and no water - Absolutely delicious!

I have made Twink's Hobnobs and they are delicious, however, mine are not crisp, but slightly soft. They are cooked though.

How can I crisp them up?
