I remove the foil every time after it has cooled - so maybe that's why I've got away with it? Still, you live and learn

These hobnobs are amazing! And so quick to make.
I've made a batch of the originals, and an experimental chocolate orange batch using 1/2 quantities of the original recipe which is also pretty yummy! I added the zest of 1 orange to the dry stuff, replaced 1oz flour with cocoa powder, and replaced the water with juice from the orange.
The rest of the orange can be consumed as a snack while the biscuits are cooking to allay any guilt from impending biscuit consumption, and also so as not to waste it (that wouldn't be very MSE!).Debt: [STRIKE]£8652[/STRIKE]£8550:eek:

My eldest DD gets me to make some of these every week. I use half the suggested amount of sugar and she loves them as a mid morning snack, she said they are a savoury (ish) biscuit but acts like a breakfast biscuit and easily takes her to lunch time. She seems to have a bit of a problem when her blood sugar level falls so these really fuel her up.
DH also takes one every day for the same reason.
Thanks for the recipe, they are so easy and incredibly cheap to make :beer:0 -
Twink you're my new hero, I've just made these for the first time and put in some cinnamon and raisins and they're amazing I've got enough to last me till the weekend if my DH doesn't hoover them first.
I can see lots of these happening from now on - thanks Twink:T2014 20p savers club #2 I've given up trying to keep track of how much that pig eats!
