I tend to under cook mine very slightly so they a little bit chewy inside as that's how I prefer them :j

Snap here found the recipe yesterday and made some today gave some of the dough to a friend too.I think it depends on how thick you cut the circles ,if you like them chewy and crunchy then cut them thicker, keep them thin for more crunch big thank you to orginal poster of recipe such a yummy biscuit isn`t it !!

As nuttybabe said - I think everyone's turn out differently, but I'd be intrigued to know how you 'cut' them? There's no way I could 'cut' the mixture that I end up with  I roll mine into small balls and flatten slightly with a fork. How does everyone else do theirs?

Mine are usually crunchy by the way :) and I think we're all agreed that they're quite divine :D

i use a round measuring spoon to get equal sized biscuits and flatten. I think the cutting is when you roll it and freeze or put in fridge then you cut slices off when needed. i did mean to keep half of my mixture back today to do this with but just couldnt resist cooking it all!!!

You can do so much with them, make them into traybakes, add almost anything to them, the kids like raisen and choc chips, i think my fav is cranberry and white choc chips, i have even melted white choc in the syrup mixture and that turned them slightly sparkly. I have added mincemeat and used that for a traybake and the cinnamon hobnobs i made were lovely. getting hungry now!!! :P

They are, and so easy to make too - if I can do them, anyone can! Just eaten yet another one with a cup of tea... :D

Oh my! They all sound a bit good! lol. I've only started making them in the last 2 weeks, I particularly like the sound of cinnamon ones - mmm - if I can get past my passion for the original recipe....they're just too good, aren't they?

  • Does anyone add to the hobnob recipe? I've tried raisins but was thinking about other things I could add that would turn out well. Ideas anyone? Many thanks
