Homemade hobnobs?

I've used honey, golden syrup, maple syrup and pancake syrup at different times - all have worked brilliantly :T.

I've been toying with the idea of using treacle and spices, maybe ginger in my next batch but I think I might halve the quantities in case they turn out completely foul

i have used treacle, i liked them but my dd didnt and cinnamon, ground or preserved ginger chopped and mixed spice work well, not all in the same biscuit though

JUst tried them with mixed spice, very nice!! Maple syrup ones next week

have never tried them with maple syrup but sounds good, by the way i am in morayshire too, amongst the shortbread and whisky
