Wow Peem (and twink)
They do look absolutely fantastic and I am glad the recipe is in my book. Next time DGSs here I think the boys and I will have a go. I know they will like the bit pressing gently with fork. Doubt ours will turn out with as much shape as these ones!

they are easy to make grannybroon and i am sure the boys would enjoy making them no matter what shape they turn out, and eating them0

I'm a tea person too Twink. But DH said he felt like coffee today, so I let him have some.
GrannyBroon : DS (5) was in charge of rolling the balls and DD 2 1/2 did the "forking". I think they came out remarkably well shaped - considering:rolleyes: .
There were a few oats on the floor!
Twink - the hardest part is letting them cool. They are sooo yummy when't they're still warm and squishy.:o"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -
Thanks Twink for a great recipe. I made a batch yesterday, got 52 hobnobs out of it and they are already gone. Husband and kids ate loads. MIL came over for visit, tasted them and loved them so much she took some home for her and BIL. I'm just about to go and make some more....:D0

I got as far as measuring the dry ingredients and thought ... that's going to make a LOT, so I halved the mix. I didn't realise they would get so big...
They are so yummy, I will make them again. :T0 -
Thank you twink - they are lush!!!!
Had to get some more oats at Mr T's at the weekend so I could make some more:dance:There's a real buzz about the neighbourhood :dance:0 -
glad you liked them greenpixy and moanymoany, it all depends how much mix you use for each biscuit that says how big they will be, think they would bake better smaller, am impressed you got 52 greenpixy0

I made my twinks using half measures of all the ingredients, and I replaced about a third of the sugar with finely chopped crystallised ginger - they were delicious! I find them very satisfying and filling too.
Thanks twink
