I got DD to make them up onto trays yesterday while I made tea - we managed to get 24 out of the mixture
I think I need more baking trays :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Thought you'd like to see what happens if you roll the dough out. I put half the dough between two sheets of reusable liner (from Lakeland) and rolled it lightly. I used a 3 inch biscuit cutter which has resulted in 31 large biscuits. Next time I'll use a 2½ inch cutter. I lifted them onto the trays using a fish slice as they were quite fragile.0

Right. Definitely going to have to make some of these now. They look and sound delish.
We're currently staying at BF's parents who have an aga. Any idea whether I should put them in the top or bottom oven? Which shelf? How long for?
Thanks0 -
Well, bit the bullet and guessed at the top oven. They turned out lovely. Didn't think I could bake but I'm feeling very proud of myself now! Thanks Twink! :beer:0

Thriftlady - wow.
I dream of doing neat baking again one day. One day when my kids are older I may achieve some sort of neatness. But you have given me something to aim for. What a tidy pile!
Twink - these really are too good. DH is taking 3 at a time for his morning snack!"You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -

I made this lot for the school tuckshop. I stacked them up in order to slide them neatly into bags for transportation. It was while I was stacking them that it struck me how nice they looked
Have made another batch with chopped apricots in -very nice, but harder to cut out neatly0 -
