thanks for trying out the recipe, did they taste ok?

ok? They were lovely! The original recipe ones with smarties in went down a treat with the BF and friends! The low fat ones are just for me and I love them! Yummy! :T

thanks for that so that if we are using dried fruit or crystallized ginger we can reduce the sugar

I have reduced the sugar both if I am adding dried fruit and have also reduced it when adding nothing else, just using the original recipe with half the sugar. If I use dried fruit, I just add a handful to the rest of the ingredients and use 4oz sugar. Has always worked a treat.

i have found so far from a mix of forty biscuits each one is 1.5 points though someone else said 1 point, bear in mind the biscuits are quite filling so one would do with a cuppa

a mix of 45 biscuits each one is 10 carbs

Has anyone tried with the half & half sugar?
What amounts do you think I'd need?
Going to have a go later, so if no-one has yet had a go will post results.

Turned out lovely, maybe a tad to sweet for my liking, next try I'll use 6oz of the half & half.
I also used honey because I thought I had a new tin of syrup and didn't.
    Well worth the effort.
I am going to give some away tomorrow, as I am on slimming world diet at the mo and the recipe made rather a lot of biscuits.

Finally got round to making some hobnobs yesterday and really pleased with the result, they're a bit sweet for me but i dont have a sweet tooth.

Do you think I could get away with substituting some of the sugar for some demarara i have in the cupboard next time?

Run a drop in centre on Saturdays so going to take them and see how they go down.

    thanks for the recipe :T

yes i think someone else has used demerara sugar but you can just reduce the sugar

i found this in the Sweet magazine

when using Splenda granulated replace every 100g, 31/2oz sugar with 8 tbsps sweetener
the equivalent in Canderel granules is about 10g or 1/2oz
