  • ohhhhhhh these are amazing! they don't last very long in my house though, that's my only complaint!!!

    I like to leave them in for an extra 2 or 3 mins -makes them very hard and crunchy yum yum yum!

    I made these today for the first time and they were really nice. My b/f ate most of them. I didn't flatten the first lot enough and ended up with hobnob cake thingies (they got polished off in no time) but the second lot were perfect :cool: I'll defo make these again, probably make some tomorrow for my Nan and Dad :D

    What is the least amount of sugar that you can use to make hobnobs?

    I ask because I started making these again last week when I got some cheap brown sugar and I can't stop eating the flippin' things.

    I must have put a couple of pounds on during the last two weeks by just snacking on hob nobs!

    I did use light brown sugar again when I made my last batch the other day and only used 7oz and they tasted fine.

    Has anyone gone down to 6oz and found that they still taste ok?

    i think somebody missed the sugar out altogether and they were ok, i would prefer some sugar though

    Blimey, that's a bit extreme.

    I think I may have to drop an oz each time I make some and see how they taste.

    I don't like them too small or flat so although I have managed to get 56 out of one batch I prefer to get about 40, they are a bit softer, like the cookies you get from Tesco. I worked out that if I make 40 they have just under 5g of sugar in each biscuit if I use 8oz of sugar.

    That equals 1 teaspoon of sugar in each biscuit!
