my mix can be crumbly too if the butter is too hot it needs to be melted slowly and mixed in quickly
I think that is what happened, I was rushing it a bit, trying to multi task as you do.
The butter did get a bit too hot as it got a kind of white film on the top so I just took if off the heat and stirred it a bit, I perhaps but it in the mixture too soon too.
Thanks Twink, I think that is the anwer I was looking for.0 -

When people mention freezing them, do you freeze them once baked and if so what is the best thing to freeze them in, an ice cream tub?

Hi everyone,
I'm making some twinks today and will be doubling the recipe & cooking in two trays so I can cut into bars later. How long do you cook a traybake for? Thanks in anticipation :T0 -

I made a batch this morning, but instead of using golden syrup, I used the syrup from a jar of stem ginger. Then chopped up about 5 pieces of the ginger into small cubes and added those to the mix.
They're really good, I had to stop myself eating more than 3!0
