i think it should mix together a bit better than that, did you have the fat too hot when you mixed it in? it needs to be just melted but if it baked ok then it hadnt been too bad
I have never managed the 'just melted' stage so I usually have to add a small amount of water to bind the mixture.
NB note small - just dribble it in and keep mixing.
  • I now have to make a batch of these every weekend for my OH and his two DDs. They really are so delish and the girls love them as they can get involved in the baking. They're 6 and 8 and I'm beginning to get them into helping out in the kitchen. The beauty of Twinks recipe is that it's so easy and almost infallible. A big thanks to Twink.
It's up to me now and nobody else.

I ran out of time to make these last night but have just made a batch today and they are fab.

They are also super easy to make which is a good thing - the last time I cooked spaghetti I set it on fire

The recipe has been printed off and added to my folder as I'll definitely be making these again.

    Thanks Twinks:T

Thanks. I think it was not getting the just melted stage and having it near the hot stage. Either way have been really good and only eaten 3 as waiting for my other half and my friend to come around :A

Has anyone tried dipping them in chocolate? I have loads of chocolate to use up leftover from fountain on new years eve. Got nearly all the ingredients, and a hubby who is eating instead of smoking, so though I could make some and then chocolatise them.
