I have come to the conclusion that there is very little that can go wrong no matter what you seem to add. Must try the jam next time.
I forgot the baking powder in the batch last night - but they are still good - just haven't spread out so much.
Raisin ones are my favourite - choc chips the kids fave - must try jam version, and nana....working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hi Twink,
Just wanted to say thanks. I tried normal sugar this time rather than the dark one and used oat meal instead of rolled porridge oats and the Biccies have turned out perfect. OH loved them ...
Thanks very much
Have a very Happy Christmas and New Year everyone0 -
I worked out the calorie totals sometime back and it was 4106 kcal for the whole recipe.
on my first attempt I rolled it out and used a 2" pastry cutter, and got about 40, yu could go a size smaller and make them realy dainty I think the record is about 90
post number 1153 on page 58ish (I think) give the accumilated knowledge of twinks makers.
Ive had fun trying two versions so far and the recipe got requested by some serious Womens Institute bakers in Birmingham. It takes much to impress them, thanks TwinkIt matters not if you try and fail, and fail and try again; But it matters much if you try and fail, and fail to try again.
