Ok, over the past 3 days I have made 300 hobnobs in a variety of flavours :D I sold them out completely in 15 mins at the hosital fayre we had today with people coming back for more. They were on the large side and were being sold for 25p per hobnob ( I thought that was expensive but that was what was decided by the folks running it)

In total I made £75 which will go to the local cash for Kids appeal that runs in West Central Scotland in the run up to Christmas to buy presents for needy kids. The good thing is every penny gets spent on the kids from deprived families. :j

Yeah I made them last night but I tried with out sugar as the porridge oats have a lot in them. But let me just say yacky yacky yack yack, but I will eat them.

  • Made these for the first time last night - yum yum yummy!
Very easy as well and tasted just like 'real' hobnobs.
I'm just worried they will undo my weight loss efforts

  • Of course, splenda - what a fab idea! My bf is worried he's putting weight on too and his dad is diabetic so using splenda instead of sugar and a different butter/marge is a brilliant idea.
    Thanks!

Your welcome, I use the Soya butter all the time now and I dnt notice the different. Not only that I have noticed that it is much cheaper than normal butter.

If they're not sweet enough try dusting them with icing sugar
