Homemade hobnobs?

  • Ive made a couple of batches so far and they are a big hit, yesterday I tried some with chocolate chips in them, but maybe the fat was a bit too hot because the chips completely melted and the mixture was far too sloppy.....made a great traybake tho:beer:

  • Hi Twink, Thanks for replying...

    Don't think the FAT was too hot.. I just melted it in Microwave for 10-15 seconds. I will try them again soon and this time will post a photo of my raw mix...

    OH thinks I pressed them to hard so this may have made them hard as no air left in between.

    Oh Ive just come across this thread and its too late for me to bake them now, Ive had a hectic day with family round and Im shattered, so I've wrote the recipe down and cant wait to make them in the morning.

    well yet another adictive batch was made today along with rocky road, lemon drizzle cake and smarties cookies, made me laugh to see kids go for the hobnobs first though!!! just show you kids know whats good for them!

    thanx twink i have just made your first class world wide known hob nobs. i got 68 out of the batch , i used a dessertspoon size measuring spoonto get the size. oh god they are to die for:T:T.

    thanx shaz i've also got your lemoncurd loaf in the oven too.:D
    i've made choc chip rock cakes and i've a beef casserole in the slow cooker.

    bang goes the diet (again)
    thanx all keep up the good work will go and have a coffee and a hob nob & a choc bun & a slice of lemon loaf & a rock cake........ well have to try it all just incase i poison dd :rotfl::rotfl:

    hi twink i know i was surprised aswell got to admit there isn't that many left oops they are just so moreish and a hell of a lot better than the branded ones.
