Please can the mods move this later to the daily thread - I am not too sure how to start it and don't want to tread on someone's toes

Please see post from DFW where Twinks have caused some confusion :rotfl:

You've obviously never ventured to the OS boards where Twinks are famous - they are homemade biscuits similar to HobNobs but better, cheaper and healthier as they don't have salt in them

So named after the OP, Twink, :T who posted the recipe

Yeah! my mind has just been boggled...I had never heard of this definition, having led a 'sheltered life'. Just checked out on Wikipedia, but I gather you can't believe everything you read there!

hi shopndrop sorry am bit comp thick haven't worked out how to do a link so have copied shaz's recipe for you...
    slash
    Ingredients
    100g margarine
    75g caster sugar
    2 eggs
    175g self-raising flour
1 jar lemon curd(smartprice/value is fine )1Ib jar
    1 level teaspoon baking powder
    Method
    1. Pre heat the oven to 200 degrees centigrade. Grease a 2lb loaf tin
    2. Place all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix together for about 5 minutes
    3. Pour the cake mixture into the prepared tin level the top.
    4. Bake for approximately 40 minutes until browned.

This cake gets moister the longer you leave it, if you can!!!
