I haven't read the whole thread so am not sure if it has been mentioned but I mashed two pieces of stem ginger ( that had been in Syrup) into the recipe for these the other day which made them have a delicious twist!!!
I am not usually a ginger fan but believe me they were awesome!!!
Perhaps a good christmasy twist????0 -

I appreciate this may be a very silly question and not something that many of you can answer, but...
How long do these legendary bikkies keep for? (note I didn't use the word "last" as they don't seem to last long in anyone's house! :P)
If I made some on say Thursday evening and kept them in an airtight box, will they still be at their best on Saturday morning? I could make them on the Friday morning at a push; would that be better?
Many thanks all
I keep them in an old biscuit tin and they keep for at least a week.0 -

I made these a while ago and loved them, I am going to have to make them again now I have found this thread again. Thank you Twinks for an amazing recipe.
I am a coeliac so made them with Dove's farm gluten free self raising flour and had no problems with it at all.0 -
My OH loves the hobnobs and they last us at least four or five days as the mixture makes so many. (Despite me eating a heck of a lot of raw mixture!!).
We also put two tsp ginger powder in ours and I have melted chocolate over the top on one occasion. I love them with ginger in, they are so fab.
