Thats 12 of you at £10 each so £120 down the toilet.

What happens if blackpool is booked and then doesnt happen? Also I think someone needs to point out in very clear terms to friend A that friend B is trying to sabotage her wedding

Seriously, you cheese off 12 people for the sake of one demanding friend and shes been nothing but negative towards the bride.

Im not sure Id have anything to do with any aspect of the wedding if I had been treated like this, its not just losing the money its the fact that someone has hijacked the entire hen weekend plans and the bride doesnt seem to have an issue with it.

I think people arranging hen parties abroad and expecting everyone to fit around it, just because they've had plenty of notice, is pretty inconsiderate and selfish.

I know that is going to get a barrage of criticism, but few of us are able to afford to go abroad multiple times in one year. If you HAVE to go to a hen party abroad, or else risk being dumped by your friends, then that is likely to mean you can't have a family holiday, for many people.

Surely the hen must have told friend B the details of how to cancel, e.g. given her permission or else she wouldn't know who to contact? I think you should talk to friend A to get the true picture before demonising friend B.

I don't agree with hen parties abroad either (or ones in this country at spas, lodges etc which cost a couple of hundred quid each). However, if friend B had no intention of going to the abroad do, she shouldn't have agreed to it when everyone else did, when the villa was booked. She's apparently being snide about the marriage working out, and she's told the OP she's not going to the Blackpool do either if thats where the hen party ends up. On the face of it thats not a great friend of the bride now, is it?

I agree there appears to be something missing here, I don't understand how friend B managed to cancel the villa for everyone when she didn't book it, and how come friend A isn't spitting mad?

It can be difficult to say no to someone, particularly when 'everyone' else is fitting in. Evidently the bride has decided to change the plans.

Friend B admitted cancelling the villa apparently

£10 deposit is good, I'm puzzled why friend B can cancel a trip if they are not the lead on the group, I'm even more puzzled why the remainding positive people cannot travel and leave friend B to their own devices for the weekend. I suppose I'm puzzled cos I'm a bloke :o

But how could she do that without Friend A's permission? She surely wouldn't even know who to contact and certainly wouldn't be able to do so legally.

I'm just trying to say that there is evidently more to this than meets the eye. The hen do would not have been cancelled, unless the hen wanted it to be. She may well have been influenced in that decision by friend B and have asked friend B to do the cancelling, but it would be better for Yvonne to talk to the bride rather than villifying her other 'friend' on here.

I disagree friend A was not being kind to friend C D E F etc and how could B cancel the villa? I take it the flights aren't booked? You should be kind to A and show her this thread.

But theres not much kindness being shown to the rest of the people who have had their plans changed and lost money.
