Been over 3 weeks since application now....
On a positive note congrats to everyone who has got their offers over the last few days....0 -

FTB couple here - thought we would join in after all the help the forums have given us...
We're in Scotland so the process is a wee bit different up here than down south and we're making use of the Nationwide's Save to Buy account...
24/12/2014 - Decision in Principle from Nationwide. Last payslip requested (submitted and approved).
03/01/2014 – First (only) viewing.
03/01/2014 - Solicitor instructed - noted interest in property.
06/01/2014 – Offer made on the property - accepted verbally.
09/01/2014 - ID verification for solicitor completed.
17/01/2014 – Full application submitted in branch - no additional documentation requested at this stage...
17/01/2014 - Home Report /Valuation Report requested from surveyor.
20/01/2014 - "Valuation appointment" booked for 06:00 today - presume this simply means the report either requested or received as there are two "other documents received - awaiting approval" messages on my tracker.
20/01/2014 - MORTGAGE OFFER ISSUED - Text Message!
That means from full application to offer only took ONE DAY!
I honestly can't believe it!
27/01/2014 - Qualified acceptance finally received from vendor
27/01/2014 - Solicitor has a slight issue with mortgage offer in that it doesn't show my OH 3rd forename (second middle name)...Nationwide has it on their system so solicitor says this should not be a problem as long as Nationwide can confirm her full name.
21/02/2014 - SETTLED / COMPLETED TODAY! :j:j:j
It's been a very smooth first time purchase by all accounts - the Nationwide were superbly quick at issuing their mortgage offer and my solicitor was the Nationwide's "free" one - total extras to pay came to £75 for conveyancing and £10 for ID verification - all other expenses covered!:money:
Everybody was fantastic from start to finish and we got the keys to our new home at 1 o'clock this afternoon!
Thanks to everyone for their help/support and answers to questions and the best of luck to those of you still in the process - either at the very beginning or reaching the very end - I hope your transactions go without hassle or fuss!0 -

Hi
I would like to join this thread with my short story.
The timeline is as follows:
6th Feb - Offer In Principle
12th Feb- Found the house, made an offer, offer accepted!!
13th Feb (Thursday)- another meeting with Lloyds MA, all docs presented and credit check done. He told me it was all fine and that both me and my husband had very good credit scores. At the end of the meeting I paid the mortgage fee and the valuation and homebuyers fee. He told me my mortgage offer was now subject to valuation. Does it mean exactly that? or should I expect some serious hurdles still to come?
25th Feb - Valuation done, report sent to me in the afternoon. All ok and 'the price is right'.
He is back to work tomorrow and promised to ring me with an update. I hate the not knowing. Does subject to valuation mean once the valuation is satisfactory, we will give you the final offer? Is anybody else here with Lloyds?
Thank you for all your comments. Sorry, if I sound dumb, but I really am nervous and frankly scared and very much a FTB
Thank you.0
