Is anyone waiting on a decision from Halifax? My valuation is booked for Friday, would they of booked this if we hadn't passed the credit checks?

Good luck with the valuation... Out of interest, how long did it take you to get a valuation date arranged?
We are currently going through Halifax for a mortgage too.

Thank you! Full application went in 29/6, hard credit check showing up on 30/6 then valuation booked for 3/7. All seems really quick which is what's making me so nervous!

Has your broker said anything? Ours told us we were approved subject to valuation. Your broker should be able to find out whether that's the last step for you.

I did ask him if that meant we were approved subject to valuation, and he said that, whilst that exact phrase wasn't used, it was a very good sign to have the valuation next week, as that wouldn't be proceeding if there were problems with the application...

Desktop valuation was scheduled yesterday with ESurv - just waiting now eeek!  MA has been pretty good at keeping me updated, so don't want to send any emails as yet (that may change tomorrow though!)

Yes me!  Desktop valuation done yesterday, just waiting for a decision now...

That is good! We put our app in on 24/6 and have not heard anything back yet. Strange how the process works for some, compared to others....

05/06 - We have received your mortgage application 

22/06 - A valuation has been booked for 02/07/2020 

02/07 - We have received your valuation report

02/07 - We’re pleases to let you know we’ve issued your mortgage offer
