    Hi guys,
We have just received our offer, so happy. Out lender is Barclays and from DIP to offer it has taken around 3 and half weeks.
Good luck to you all still waiting, its a nervous wait but so worth it in the end xxx
Congratulations! Really happy for you. Now you can relax, celebrate and focus on the rest of the sale. Good luck!

Same, we're 15% deposit too so I don't think that's affecting timescales. Our deposit is from savings, no gifts or anything so our bank statements prove the money is ready to go. I genuinely think it's been quick because our MA called Halifax on 22nd and verified our income and affordability over the phone with them. She really has been fantastic to work with. Are you using a broker? Maybe you could ask them to call.  The. y did say there was a backlog for booking in valuations and it depends on how busy your area is as to how soon it can be done. We just got lucky. I was very surprised to have the offer same day though, our MA told us up to 4 working days.
Yeah, we're using a broker. And he's good; I think he's trying to reassure us that everything is perfectly normal, and he's definitely told us there's no point comparing situations with other people, as no two cases are the same... I know I should listen to his advice, but I find this limbo period quite stressful, as we're excited about the prospect of the new house, but there's always the fear that things won't go to plan, and so we find ourselves trying to not get too excited... Which is difficult, and stressful!

I should probably remind myself that it's only been 2 weeks since the application was submitted, and only start to worry if we're still in this position - without any sign of progress - in another 2 weeks...
I feel same like why us? Especially when I see everyone else going through. 😞
Just heard from the Mortgage Broker that our valuation is scheduled for 6th July. So, maybe things are moving along, after all...

Anyone currently or recently put in a full app with Halifax? Trying to guage length of time for application - it's only been a couple of days and the wait is already killing me!

Full application sent: Wednesday 24th June
Confirmation of being at underwriters: Thursday 25th June
Money taken for property valuation: Thursday 25th June

Now waiting to hear what happens next. Anyone else at the same stage with Halifax?
    Thanks in advance,
    R
    We have!
    Application submitted Friday 19th June.
Hard searches x 2 same day, valuation fee paid.
Approved subject to valuation Monday 22nd June.
    Valuation today, 30th June.
    Offer today!!!
oh i'm being driven insane - our application was submitted 24th June, just been waiting ever since we had confirmation today it's with the underwriters - rules here in scotland are different on valuations and they have the home report so no idea how long mine will take :(

Thanks, fingers crossed... I assume valuation is one of the final steps before the offer gets made? We've paid the valuation fee, so I'd feel pretty hard done by if the valuation turned out okay, but underwriters didn't like our application...

Our buyers had an AIP before lockdown and we accepted their offer about 1 week before lockdown. With the subsequent tota halt to activities it took until 5th June for valuation to be done with the Surveyor's parting words being "it will all be straightforward". Our buyers STILL haven't apparently had their formal offer although they have provided all requested documents and have been advised verbally all is OK. Lender is NATWEST. Is this their typical delay at the moment?

We applied to Natwest on 19th June, valuation was done 25th june had our offer yesterday 30th June. So I wouldn't say that's a normal delay no.

I'm am still waiting for a decision from Natwest. Everything within the assessment stage is ticked according to their online tracking. The valuation was performed on the 24th of June. They did come back to me on Friday stating they will offer less what I need due to the service changes on my apartment. My mortgage broker responded back the same day stating I will reduce my credit card balance by a minimum of 50%. Apparently this should meet their affordability requirements and get the full amount I originally asked for. Since then I have heard nothing!

It’s taken a couple of calls to HSBC today in order to finally find out that our decision and offer is being held up in the final stage due to them needing to physically verify our ID in branch.

This comes after both of us have already uploaded both acceptable forms of ID a week ago... The joy...
It's so frustrating, did you get through to underwriters or customer services? That's our worry that application is just sitting there waiting for someone to press the button 'next stage' so we keep calling everyday, just in case the last person we spoke to forgot to click update or something on the application. lol we submitted all the docs, worst thing it sits there for ages and waiting around for an update will just add further delays if no one is pushing that button to move it along the queue.  :#
