No we went through a broker. She's been fantastic through this whole process, made it relatively stress-free.Creditfixer3021 said:

Does anyone know how many credit searches Santander do throughout the application?
i had a soft search on my AIP and a hard search on my full application. Will they do more?0 -
Hi, submitted application with Barclays via broker so had hard search on aip. Aip went through so full application now in. Does the fact that the aip was a hard search mean we should get the mortgage offer?
Also does anyone have any idea of barclays timescale?
Thanks!0 -

Thanks!AIP is a step in the right direction but never a guarantee that you will get approved. The AIP is very much a broad stroke and often automated search. The next step is the underwriters, who will go through the app in much more detail.Good luck and let us know how you get on!1 -

R15 June 2020 - Halifax full application + valuation fee paid
18 June 2020 - Advised by MA that it was approved subject to valuation
26 June 2020 - Documentation sent to ESurv for a desktop valuation (It's a new-build)
MA advised that on Halifax's systems the valuation is scheduled for tomorrow, so I'm hoping I'll hear something by the end of the week!
Good luck with everything - let me know how you get on!Hopefully ours follows a similar timeline. Did Halifax ask for any further documentation? Has it been a relitavely pain free (apart from the waiting) process for you?
R
No further documentation asked for, although at the time of doing the full application I had already supplied 3 x bank statements & wage slips etc to my MA. On my AIP from Halifax the only prerequisite in the next steps part was for 3 bank statements to be provided.
Yes, I guess so (apart from the waiting) - my MA has been completely relaxed about the application and has reassured me that this is completely normal!1 -
Out of interest, what sort of LTV are you on? We're putting down just over 15%, so are pretty much at the limit of what Halifax will accept. Wondering if that puts us further back in a queue as well...Almostfree said:

Same, we're 15% deposit too so I don't think that's affecting timescales. Our deposit is from savings, no gifts or anything so our bank statements prove the money is ready to go. I genuinely think it's been quick because our MA called Halifax on 22nd and verified our income and affordability over the phone with them. She really has been fantastic to work with. Are you using a broker? Maybe you could ask them to call. They did say there was a backlog for booking in valuations and it depends on how busy your area is as to how soon it can be done. We just got lucky. I was very surprised to have the offer same day though, our MA told us up to 4 working days.thePhilster69 said:
