Received an update - offer approved! I’m elated
Naturally, as many others have also found out at the moment, things took a little while, but got there in the end!
Good luck everyone else waiting on their offers.1 -

For those of you awaiting a Natwest Mortgage decision, As of 11 am this morning, the speed from making an offer to purchase has dropped from over 30 days to 12 days. So fingers crossed to us all who are awaiting a decision from natwest.

Anyone else waiting for a decision from Nationwide? We submitted our application via a mortgage adviser last Friday (19th), and was informed that day it had been approved subject to valuation and receipt of Nationwide's gift form for our deposit. We sent everything over immediately but haven't heard anything from our adviser or Nationwide since. Our property developer (new build) said they had expected a valuation to be booked Monday/Tuesday this week but we have no idea if it was done! Anyone in the same boat?0 -
Update for HSBC people. My case was passed to the underwriters on 23rd June. They are currently looking at cases from 21st, so it'll be a few more days for me. My application went in on 10th June, with desktop valuation on 18th June.
Hope that helps someone.2 -

My partner and I seem to be a day behind you...
- Submitted our application on 15th June
- Additional documents and IDs uploaded on online portal on 17th June
- Manual referral to underwriter update on online portal on 24th June
We've been pretty patient up til now and just trusted the process whilst knowing that demand is through the roof and lender productivity isn't as great as pre-COVID - people working from home still etc.
Going on timescales from people on here it seems as though cases like ours (partner self-employed) are taking around 3 weeks to be processed.
I just can't believe how slow it actually is at the moment.2 -

We're in a similar position. Application on the 16, valuation meant to be on the 24th but it wasn't confirmed and it seems the valuation company didn't get in touch with the estate agent. Mortgage broker said he'd give us an update today but heard nothing so feeling pretty anxious about the whole thing.0 -

Hey HSBC-ers
Jumping on to this as trying anything to ease the tension of waiting!
This is our timeline so far...
Applied directly online on 17th June ( A broker said we couldn't borrow enough for HSBC, but a direct AIP said otherwise, called HSBC up to double-check and the figure she gave was higher than the broker, but lower than the AIP! - very confusing but it was just enough)
Submitted docs 19th June - they've only asked for 1 month's payslips so far
Valuation took place 25th June
Logged on today and our status has changed from "Application under review' to "Ready for Offer'.
Does this mean we're one step before the underwriters look at it, or have we passed this stage?
We are yet to see anything about the outcome of the valuation online either, do we find out what they have valued it at?
Thanks1
