Valuation was last Friday, received a text today the Valuation has been agreed, so hopefully might hear something soon.
Long wait as my application was in March

    Hey HSBC-ers
Jumping on to this as trying anything to ease the tension of waiting!
This is our timeline so far...
Applied directly online on 17th June ( A broker said we couldn't borrow enough for HSBC, but a direct AIP said otherwise, called HSBC up to double-check and the figure she gave was higher than the broker, but lower than the AIP! - very confusing but it was just enough)
Submitted docs 19th June - they've only asked for 1 month's payslips so far
    Valuation took place 25th June
Logged on today and our status has changed from "Application under review' to "Ready for Offer'.
Does this mean we're one step before the underwriters look at it, or have we passed this stage?
We are yet to see anything about the outcome of the valuation online either, do we find out what they have valued it at?
    Thanks
That's amazing! My timeline is fairly similar to yours, think I am only a day or two ahead of you! We had our valuation done on the 24th and called today to find out all was good and found out the valuation, if you really want to know just call and it will be a big ole wait on hold but you will be able to find it out.
They said that we are passed to underwriters 3 days ago so should expect an offer early to mid next week.
We haven't had any further updates on the online tracker yet but hoping we hear in due course!! :)

Hey, is there anyone who is still waiting for any update from Santander... We put our mortgage application on 27th of May. Received an SMS confirmation on 15th of June that it will be transferred to the underwriter. Still nothing yet... Is it a bad sign?

I’m with Santander. They seem slow at the moment from what I’ve read on here. On the intermediary site, it claims its 8.2 days which I think is far from the truth.

I put my application in on the 19th (AIP on the 17th), my valuation is booked in for the 9th July.

they requested a couple replacement documents on Tuesday, I only knew about the valuation as the property developer emailed me (I asked them to let me know)

I hate waiting, it’s actually making me angry with Santander which I know is silly. I hold my business banking with them and really feel like getting my account manager involved but I know it’s a complete waste of time

    what are your timelines
  • @templeofdoom I thought it would be a desktop valuation, fingers crossed it’s just delays due to the backlog of physical valuations they’re trying to get through.  The sales office for the development where I’m buying said that normally they’d look to exchange within 28 days, however they’ve extended this date by 2 weeks.  Definitely nail biting stuff!
It really is nerve racking, for us I feel like we have jumped through so many hoops and are on the home straight now!! Just think how relaxed and happy we will be once its all approved
Update: Paperwork sent to surveyors this morning for desktop valuation.
Hopefully, you'll have some good news shortly 🤞🏻
Oooooh exciting, fingers crossed for you!! Let me know how it goes. Still waiting on this end, think the broker is pretty sick of my emails now lol

FTB here! Buying with my partner.
Using a broker for a HSBC 90% LTV.
Application submitted on 17th, supporting documents uploaded on 18th.
    valuation booked for 2nd July.

Everything seems to be taking a really long time and I hate that everything has to filter its own at through the broker to us.

Lurk away! I have found it really useful to be able to do so.

We haven’t had anything else through yet, you may be a bit ahead as ours says approved subject to valuation. We didn’t get a password and our online track hasn’t updated from ‘application under review’. I was a bit confused because I thought HSBC did a valuation prior to communication. To be honest, I was worried we wouldn’t get approved (no obvious reason, just my propensity for over worrying haha) so whilst it’s not a done deal we super happy at this step.

    Has your valuation taken place?

Hope you get some more news soo :)

Ours went to the underwriter before valuation. They rang with to check if salary had been impacted by covid and then got a text to say approved subject to valuation. I thought they did it the other way but seems not all the time?! Who knows!

Interesting. I thought it would make sense to do the valuation first but maybe it’s done on a case by case basis.

Ours says manual reffer to underwriter on the tracker, at the moment.
