We applied last Thurs, after tons of issues with brokers having the number of apps they can make limited and website downtime.. advisor was great but is our pain likely to end soon.. or in weeks?0 -
Hi everyone,
Lurker turned poster in the midst.Just in case this puts anyone at ease- submitted FTB (90% LYV) application with HSBC on the 11th June, got offer pending valuation today. They rang today and asked if either of us had been financially impacted by COVID (we thankfully haven’t) and told we’d get a decision in 1-2 days. About an hour later we got the coveted text to say it had been approved.Looks like things are getting faster4 -

We submitted our application in March and have experienced numerous technical issues. Had our valuation done on 16 Jun and submitted a cladding EWS1 report to them today, our LTV is <30% .I was told their IT team is waiting for their Indian outsourced team to come back with an approval so they can fix the issue on their system. I feel I have been dragged into this black hole...so much anxiety and uncertainty involved.
I know the wait each day can be so frustrating and the nervousness never seems to end...caw379 said:Had my application approved today from HSBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy!!!! With the wait, I did not think it was gonna happen!

I'm using a MA, AIP through Halifax given on the 11th June, full application submitted on the 15th and paid valuation fee (hard search on CF that day). No other documentation has been requested other that what I provided to MA in advance of my application.
MA advised on the 18th that it all looked fine and application was now just subject to satisfactory valuation.
Anyone know how long Halifax are taking with scheduling valuations? (It's a new build not due for completion until Oct).
For me personally, this has been a long time coming and I'm trying not to get my hopes up - am I right in thinking that if there were any issues these would have been highlighted by now?. Our broker said everything looked ok after some payslip questions and we are just awaiting a valuation - really hoping its done quickly as our builder wants to exchange on the 11th July
. Assuming its going to be a desktop valuation as the property isn't built yet, so should be pretty straightforward?

@templeofdoom I thought it would be a desktop valuation, fingers crossed it’s just delays due to the backlog of physical valuations they’re trying to get through. The sales office for the development where I’m buying said that normally they’d look to exchange within 28 days, however they’ve extended this date by 2 weeks. Definitely nail biting stuff!0

Our process has been extremely quick however we did the application online with no advice (my SO used to be a mortgage broker so utilised his knowledge), and I have had the luxury of calling up and pushing the process through as quickly as possible.1 -
Hi - first time poster (and first time buyer too!),
Anyone else waiting for a decision from Nationwide? We submitted our application via a mortgage adviser last Friday (19th), and was informed that day it had been approved subject to valuation and receipt of Nationwide's gift form for our deposit. We sent everything over immediately but haven't heard anything from our adviser or Nationwide since. Our property developer (new build) said they had expected a valuation to be booked Monday/Tuesday this week but we have no idea if it was done! Anyone in the same boat?0 -
