Finally got my mortgage agreed subject to valuation yesterday. What an overwhelming sense of relief during these uncertain times. Have to wait until 9 July for valuation which is a long time, but the "hard" work and stress is over ......that was almost 4 weeks of back and forth to the underwriters.1

Hello,
I am very worried and still waiting to hear anything from the bank. My full mortgage application sent on 27/05 and on Monday, my mortgage adviser called me and said that the case is reviewed and they have sent it to the underwriter. I am self employed and employee working on 0 hour contact too (4k per year) where I am furloughed at the moment. My self employment is not affected (21k per year). My deposit is £13 500, buying 25% share which is £67 500.
My mortgage adviser choose Santander bank. She has no doubt that they will accept it. But now I am so stressed about the decision. Does usually take so long for answer?0 -

Yay! Congratulations. Really nice to see these finally coming through. Long nervous old wait, but it'll be worth it in the end. Hopefully the rest of ours won't be long.Bowley said:Pleased to say my offer is for the full amount as requested and no issues
What a relief. Time to celebrate!
@caw379 yes it seems they send the text as soon as the offer is made so you’ll know before/at the same time as your mortgage advisor1 -
My app went in with Santander on 29th May. Got a decision yesterday. Just need the valuation to be done now. We had self employed elements in ours too. I think they are taking longer than usual. You can check their service levels online and see what day they are working on. I knew each time that my application was sent back into underwriting and tracked it this way. Seems the underwriters are currently working on cases that were passed to them on 19 June, so if yours went Monday I would say you should hear in a day or soRalichkai98 said:Hello,
