So after some back and forth with Halifax about the letter from my employer, they finally accepted it.
The valuation was done yesterday, 10/02 and we got our mortgage offer today! I'm so pleased! We've exchanged contracts with Persimmon so we just need to wait on the house being finished now!
Could I ask , did you receive your valuation by post and then the offer or did you get the offer as soon as valuer had been to the site ?0 -

Halifax got back to the broker with the valuation tonight. They've valued it as £80,000 so £2,000 under what I'm paying. Ive had to go into a higher ltv bracket with just a 2 year fix. Im not really bothered anymore i just want a mortgage and in 2 years i wont have a ccj and ill be in a permanent likely full time position by then.
Just waiting for offer now i think! Don't wanna get too confident after yesterday’s wobble.

Its awful isn't it 100weight i don't think I've slept properly for weeks and I'm working a night shift tonight so I probably won’t sleep properly tomorrow day waiting for an email or phonecall. My broker has been fantastic but I feel a bit powerless not being in control myself as I usually do everything myself.Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

Ive just checked my balances and I need £1145 to be able to pay everything without going into my overdraft so looking for 4 weeks to get that together really, if it goes through sooner ill use the overdraft but really trying not to.

Can I ask out of curiosity, if you are using a mortgage broker are you waiting for the broker to call/email you with an update or are you actively calling the broker to check on the status etc.?0
