16th Jan - AIP via broker. Broker said absolutely no issues.
31st Jan (AM) - Full application in to Halifax Premier Team. Amy confirmed happy with everything.
31st Jan (PM) - Hard checks done (Credit Karma alert on Saturday confirmed this).
31st Jan (PM) - Mortgage illustration received via broker & valuation fee paid.
31st Jan (PM) - Valuation instructed for 6th Feb.
3rd Feb - Broker's assistant contacts me to thank me for chosing them, offer some insurance services & state that a Halifax underwriter would look at our documents in 2-3 working days (a bit annoying as Amy told broker she would sign off on it Friday or Monday evening).0 -
We finally have the HMRC letter proving we no longer claim childcare, which has been uploaded to the lender today. It’s been pulled to the top of the pile as it’s been over 3 weeks since we applied so with any luck we’ll hear tomorrow about if it’s been passed through underwriting to valuation. I’ll probably start conveyancing as soon as it is as I feel we’ve delayed our buyer and seller quite enough as it is.0

update on us, we have our offer (finally) with Halifax, and then I have found out that my partner is £500 over drawn in an interest free student account.. do we need to clear this asap incase they do another check or will it be okay?
Congratulations! I’m still waiting for my offer for my full application. So long as they’ve accepted your full mortgage application, from my understanding, they can’t pull out on their offer, so you should be in the clear!
When did you submit your full app?0 -

It was one of the first incentives they offered us last year!
They’re paying over half of it. Still leaves me with £5k.
This wait for a mortgage offer is killing me with distraction! Expect should get news today though. Hard to focus at work. Been hard to focus all month! This buying a house this is stressful0 -
Hello,
This is my first time posting.
I'm going through my mortgage application and the latest update is 2 days ago the mortgage company requested 'solicitor panel number'. The activity prior to this was submitting all our documents.
Does anybody have any idea at what stage we could be at?
Thanks0 -
Application is now approved subject to valuation. It hasn’t been booked today but I’m hoping it’ll be speedy now!0

full app went just after xmas, probably taken 3/4 weeks all told. lots of stressful times along the way and im sure more to come, can anyone else offer advice on the overdraft question?0

Lenders can and do perform last minute credit checks before completion. I would definitely clear it Nickfazz.0

Spoke to our mortgage broker today and they're going to instruct the valuation. They've been trying to speak to the site (Persimmon) today but they're closed so will try tomorrow. Halifax haven't confirmed receipt of the letter from my employer do MB is going to chase that tomorrow. Also had to send further proof of deposit so done that tonight,
We've also concluded conditional missives with Persimmon too. Just need to get my mortgage offer on the table! Hopefully won't be too long :j0
