I called Natwest direct as broker didn't have an update to share just yet. They tell me that its being assesed today and they have all my docs. It is wrong to call them at the end of the day to get an update, or should I wait for broker to tell me... the waiting is killing me ;-)

Thought I'd join in here! I'm a FTB, applying on my lonesome.

Submitted my formal application to Abbey last Wednesday, valuation took place this Tuesday, MA tells me he hopes to get confirmation of the mortgage offer details being sent out either today or tomorrow.

    SO nervous!

He advised me earlier that the valuation details were the only thing we were waiting for now - so not sure whether to take that as a good sign!

Hi Kirstie welcome to the forums. I understand that the valuations is the final stage before an offer is made so as long as the house is valued the same amount or more than the mortgage then you will be fine I think.
  • I hate this waiting!

Welcome Kirstiemcb it's nail biting stuff!

Natwest have just rung...supporting documents have been approved, the valuation has been instructed and the fee has just now been taken from my bank account :j

    It's your turns next!!

My broker has emailed me and NatWest have informed him they are approving the mortgage subject to satisfactory survey, which they have instructed today!!! :j
They have taken the money form my account too.:T

I know its not over yet, but it is a huge hurdle out of the way.

I hope you hear soon Swanny.
