Offer accepted on house: 9th July
    AIP: 10th July
    Underwritten: 17th July
    Survey: 19th July

So all in all - 19 days!

    Hi
Here is our timeline with natwest:
    Full application 4th July
    Valuation fees taken 16th July
Valuation booked 24th July (not sure if it was done then or 25th as vendor was working)
Called Natwest 27th to confirm they have received the documents we had to resubmit and informed that they have the valuation documents and they will make a business decision by end of day today.
Now just have to sit here clock watching and twiddling my thumbs as we hope to hear about an offer sometime maybe tomorrow/Wednesday, so nerve wracking

I am just curious as to how a Mortgage company's surveyors get in touch with the Vendor?
Does it all go through the solicitors?

I would have throught your MA could tell you or maybe the estate agent? I am going through Halifax.

Our Natwest valuation has been instructed for the 6th August. Apparently Legal & General organised it with our EA. Any idea why Legal & General are invovled? Do Natwest own them?

    Hi everyone,

New here but decided to sign up having read this thread and finding it interesting to see everyones experiences with the mortgage rigmarole and wanting to post our own as it is now standing,

18/07 - Offer accepted on property
26/07 - AIP received and application to Halifax in via broker
02/08 - Documents requested by broker, collated & posted
05/08 - Receipt of confirmation that all required documents received by broker

Nerve racking times as the selling agents want the missives to be signed by today, 29th July, but we instructed our solicitor to delay them as we do not want to put pen to paper before receiving a formal offer and be stuck with a load of fees! However, we have not heard back yet from the solicitor but surely the sellers won't decide to sell to another bidder! Fingers crossed.

The process of application and demand to sign the missives does seem all too rushed considering we only won the bid 10 days ago (having previously lost out on 2 other properties)!

Finally heard back, valuation is booked for Thursday!

Here's my timeline so far... Buying a new build on help to buy scheme

    7/7 - viewed flat
    10/7 - AIP through broker
    11/7 - paid reservation fee
15/7 - sent help to buy loan application
22/7 - received approval for loan
23/7 - full application in with natwest
25/7 - valuation instructed and fees taken
    1/8 - valuation

As its a new build and the last one to be sold I'm hoping there will be no issues with the valuation!

Hi, our valuation was instructed on 25th also but I have not heard back since if a date has been booked. How did you find out? I am using an IFA and so far had no direct contact with NatWest.
