20/09/18 - Revised offer submitted
20/09/18 - Offer accepted
20/09/18 - Halifax Mortgage application submitted.

Now just the wait. Not sure how long they typically take.

Valuation cancelled due to key issue and rebooked 27/09

I really hate the waiting, I hope it gets easier, I’m a FTB on a new build so I hate to think what this is like in an actual chain!

7/9 Offer on house officially accepted (Scotland) and I cry because the broker's on holiday
11/9 Agree a product with broker
12/9 Submit application which is then referred
13/9 AIP from Accord
14/9 Documentation requested
18/9 All documentation received by broker. Moment of panic due to my employment situation but broker gets Accord to agree to an exception
21/9 Broker emails to say the offer has been made today.

So far I have absolutely no complaints about Accord, they have been very quick and it looks like we're going to move house 28 days after the offer was accepted. Being in Scotland and having an existing Home Report helped but I'm still really impressed. We're moving!

Congratulations to everyone.

I had a chat with our broker today and he has mentioned that everything is good to go but he hasnt sent the last few documents over but will be doing that this week. Just hoping for an offer asap - put my mind at ease.

Valuation Thursday 20/9/18
Mortgage offer from Halifax 22/9/18

Daughter had 2 satisfied defaults from 2013 & 2014 for £600 & £300.
Thanks for all the help on here.
We were going mad with the waiting & worrying.
And reading all the posts really helped, especially as she had defaults & was worried sick.
So for everybody worrying it was really very quick with the Halifax from valuation to mortgage offer about 2 days. Cheers. They are over the moon.

Here’s my recent experience with Nationwide (Through L&C)

AIP – 10th August
Offer accepted – 31st August
Mortgage application – 10th September
Valuation instructed – 10th September
Valuation booked for – 11th September
Text to say valuation received - 21st September
Mortgage offer issued- 21st September

Can’t really fault Nationwide or L&C, was a pretty positive experience all round.

So little update, Just had confirmation of Mortgage offer being sent out this morning!

Very quick turnaround. So that gives our timeline as .
16/09/18 - Seen Property
17/09/18 - AIP approved from Halifax

20/09/18 - Revised offer submitted
20/09/18 - Offer accepted
20/09/18 - Halifax Mortgage application submitted.
25/09/18 - Halifax Formal Mortgage offer sent out.
