Submitted application last Monday and uploaded the documents they requested. Later the same day we got notified that they are happy with our documents and have booked the survey. I know for a fact that the survey took place on Tuesday (Estate agent told me). Today I have received notification that the underwriters have approved our application subject to the valuation checks.

Should i be worried that the valuation was done nearly a week ago but they haven't green lighted it yet? Is this normal?

    AIP - 04/09
    Full Application - 04/09
    Valuation - 10/09

I'm hoping to hear back today / this week now. Who knew waiting for a decision like this could be so painful.

Our valuation was booked for today. Its a stressful time. We submitted on the 10th. Can underwriters do their stuff in a week? (10th - 17th)

Would the underwriters check the docs within a day? Seems quick

Brilliant news. Congrats. So between 6th and say the 11th - the underwriters checked docs etc?

Spoken to barclays regarding an update on my valuation, the gent mentioned it hadn't been in yet but to try back in a few days. He did also mention it shows up as payslip and bank statement still outstanding, but he did mention that sometimes it says this until the valuation is back and everything gets processed at once.

Anyone heard this before or was that guy robbing me off?

    Thanks

It normal espeically if your case is pretty straight forward e.g. permanent job, little to no debt, good credit history or if you bank with lender
