It's with Nationwide.
Does anyone know if you get a report from the mortgage valuation? I know they said it was satisfactory but what exactly does that mean?0 -
05/01/2014 - Saw house on Rightmove and fell in love.
11/01/2014 - Viewed house and loved it even more (only needed the one viewing really).
11/01/2014 - First offer made on house.
15/01/2014 - First offer rejected.
15/01/2014 - Second offer accepted.
15/01/2014 - Got AIP from Natwest for £7k more than needed.
16/01/2014 - Instructed Solicitors.
21/01/2014 - Received Memorandum of Sale from EA.
21/01/2014 - Full Mortgage Application Submitted via IFA.
21/01/2014 - Valuation Fee Paid.
21/01/2014 - Valuation booked for Friday 24th January.
27/01/2014 - Valuation came back ok
27/01/2014 - Halifax have requested 3 payslips for me. MA to submit.
28/01/2014 - MORTGAGE OFFER ISSUED (trying not to hurt myself as I bounce off the walls lol). Cannot believe it's only taken a week.
29/01/2014 - Mortgage Offer received in the post (solicitor also received Mortgage Offer today).
Absolutely blown away with the speed of Halifax. When I bought my current house with Leeds BS, it took a month from application to offer and they asked for every bit of evidence possible (one thing at a time of course).0 -

15/1/14 - first viewing on house
17/1/14 - second viewing on house
20/1/14 - AIP sent and received
20/1/14 - offer submitted and accepted within an hour
Quick question, do you need to pay anything at this stage to landlord/EA and will you lose it if your mortgage application is not successful?
21/1/14 - mortgage application sent through broker
21/1/14 - application received text and valuation booked for 28/1/14 text
28/1/14 - satisfactory valuation text received
28/1/14 - solicitors instructed
So that is where we are at today. Hopefully the next text we get will be to offer us our mortgage, fingers crossed!!
20/1/14 - offer submitted and accepted within an hour

Didn't have to pay anything to EA but had to pay for valuation up front. Will lose that money if application is declined but unsure if will lose the house (not sure if that's what you meant) if application is declined.0 -
29/1 valuation paid and booked for 6th February
Good luck with yours, I was in the same boat, turned down by Natwest, thought it was game over.
Got a broker, went with Halifax, and now have a mortgage offer !
Solicitors are doing there bit now, I reckon we should be talking move in dates next week at some point0 -

Still worried it's going to gowrong0 -
If Natwest are booking the valuation for next week does that mean we passed the credit score?0

Hi there, I applied for a NatWest mortgage but my mortgage advisor is on training the entire week. How can I know if my mortgage was approved? Is there a line for me to call? Are they going to give me the decision / such information over the phone? Thanks!0
