Anyone want to join me? Awaiting Mortgage decision...
Comments
-
The waiting is proving to be the worst part!
Had my valuation on Thursday said we would find out the result within 48hours. Stupid weekend got in the way am now a bag of nerves waiting for a call. Hoping I will have my mortgage offer by the end of the day!?
Good luck DaisyRose :j0 -
Thanks, broker has just informed me will take around 5 days to hear back now!? Argh the torture!0

My broker told me that all correspondence goes into their in-box and is dealt with as someone works their way through the pile. I appreciate it may be more sophisticated than that, but that is how I envisage it! My mortgage company advised it would take up to 3 days to email it to me but I had the offer in the post on the 3rd day.
Keep positive, I know the waiting is awful, I really sympathise. You want to talk about it, to rant and rave to anyone who will listen, but then you get bored with yourself talking about it yet again. A complete vicious circle, it is torture I agree. Chin up, if you do feel the need to rant, feel free to PM me as I could have done with someone to do this to last week!0 -
Thanks Plumfin, I'm impatient at the best of times

Hope nobody minds but I could do with a bit of a vent among people in a similar position to ourselves.
Nothing seems to be happening at all. Our survey all came back okay, and about two weeks ago our broker said she had spoken to the solicitor and he was done, she even contact the EA to arrange dates. Now all of a sudden our solicitors are still waiting for some documents relating to our purchase, and the sellers solicitors are still awaiting replies to some questions they had. I asked for a rough idea of dates but he couldn't even give me that. Our solicitors keep telling us they will contact us with an update but if it wasn't for us chasing them we wouldn't have heard anything at all.
Currently got a washing machine and fridge freezer in my parents hallway and it feels like we're never going to complete.
Meanwhile we know people who had offers accepted weeks after us and have already completed. I know every situation is different but it's all very frustrating

Can't you threaten to change solicitors if things don't start moving by the end of the week? Oooh I wouldn't be happy..0

Just waiting for the searches to come back and the vendors to formally exchange on their property, then we are in business! Hope to be in by 14th Feb.
Well turns out the land title has some covenants/restrictions attached to it which is making it difficult to transfer to us! The solicitors are working to get these removed so doesnt cause any issues now and in the future. So have a little longer to wait
Annoyingly the house is now empty as the previous owners have exchanged on their new build property and moved in this weekend. So it's all ready for us to move in, just wish it was now!
Still looking at Feb 14th fingers crossed. Thats if the Land Regsitry play ball, as well as the landowners which imposed the restrictions on the original land sale.0 -
