Well, we are back from our week's holiday now. We got the HomeBuyer's Report through on the day we went away and to be honest I don't really know what to make of it. There are a lot of 3's on it, which we were surprised about because it was a house we considered suitable to move into without needing any work doing.
We haven't said whether we want any further reports or surveys or anything carried out yet, but the vendors have asked via the estate agent if they can have a copy of our HomeBuyer's Report. Is this normal? It feels rude saying no, but then if they wanted one shouldn't they have paid for one themselves?
To be honest, I would say no to the vendors. If there's a particular part that warrants a negotiation to the asking price, then by all means send them the relevant page(s), but as you said, if they want a report, let them pay for it.0 -
