Still waiting here, I'm feeling sooo impatient. Have left a message with the broker today to try to find out if the valuation has been booked in yet but no reply. It's been just over a week now, since additional documents were requested and submitted. I hate waiting:mad::rotfl:0

Hi,
I'm new round here so please advise if I'm in the wrong place.
I just need some reassurance really.
FTB offer accepted 3.8.17
LTV 40% £100k deposit from investment sale.
AIP via broker 7.8.17
Full application to NatWest submitted 8.8.17
Valuation booked for 17.8.17
The application is based solely on my income as my husband is self employed with less than 2yrs tax returns. My concern is we only got married 6 weeks ago and when I check my credit report a lot of my credit history and electoral roll registration hasn't yet linked to my married name.
My maiden name hasn't been mentioned on the application despite my requests.
Will this have an impact?0 -
It's taken us 11 weeks but we've finally been accepted! House offer accepted aw well, solicitors have instructed the property searches. Hopefully all smooth(er) sailing for the rest of the process. Please god I hope so!0

Hi all,
New to all this mortgage stuff, I'm a first time buyer
Buying a new build Persimmon Home with Help to buy 20% and a deposit of 10%.
House price is £155k, so that leaves a mortgage of £108k to get.
I been getting help from and 'independent' mortgage adviser who they recommended.
So timeline so far:
04/08 - Reserved house
08/08 - Agreement in Principle with Halifax for £108k
10/08 - Full Mortgage application submitted with Halifax
11/08 - Hard credit search on my credit report showing
Been slowly losing my mind over the weekend, I'm not the most patient person in the world!
I've been worrying about money I had on a credit card and 1 loan, both of which were paid off a month ago, but the amounts are still showing on my credit report. I've told them I have no loans and no balance on my CC, will they decline because of this? I'm hoping they will ask for proof that they have been paid?
My credit score on Credit Expert is 999/999, well 988 now they have done a hard search.
Currently waiting to hear from the mortgage adviser, I'm told that once they book the valuation you've passed all there credit checks?
Mortgage adviser is a lot more confident that I'll get an offer than I am, maybe I'm worrying for no reason?
Thanks0 -
Hi. New to MSE and also first time buyer.
AIP (119K): 2/8/2017
Plot reservation paid: 4/8/2-17
Full application made: 10/8/2017
Hard Credit search made: 11/8/2017
I had to send off other documentation on Friday (11th) due to me being a few days away from 1 year in current job. I was able to send my bank statement showing last pay of previous employer (last August) and another one showing first pay of current employer (Last September). I was also able to send pension statement showing 12 years active service with no days off.
Now entering the waiting game!0 -
Same boat as me then!
Who did you apply with? I've not heard anything from Halifax yet....0 -
31/7 DIP
5/8 Offer accepted
7/8 Solicitor appointed (currently on hold until mortgage app through)
9/8 Broker appointment, all documents given and mortgage chosen through HSBC
11/8 Broker confirmed application submitted and with under writers so now the wait starts!
Aghee we are HSBC too, I have read they are not the quickest!
Congrats Onwards and Upwards!
Congrats Ebzzy!0 -
unfortunately I worry the same.. but they have the best rates. As long as they don't reject me I think I can continue with them0

Just had an update from my mortgage adviser.
Case has passed initial checks and valuation has been instructed. They've also taken the valuation fee from my bank account.
Is there any truth to the 'Once the valuation is booked you've passed all there credit checks and there happy to give you the mortgage subject to valuation?'
Cheers0
